Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to our workshop, 'Intimate, Embodied, Emotional: Art-Based Methods in Feminist Research', which will take place on 23–24 September 2026 as part of our <https://kornhausforum.ch/de/ausstellung/atlas-der-reproduktion-babys-grenzen-geopolitik/> 'Atlas of Reproduction' exhibition at the Kornhausforum in Bern.

The workshop is open to students, PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers and researchers at all career stages who are interested in integrating art-based (or creative, multimodal or audiovisual) methods into their research, whether they have past experience of doing so or are interested in doing so in the future. Against the backdrop of our exhibition resulting from ethnographic research projects that worked with artists and media professionals (e.g. filmmakers and photographers) in various ways, we hope to provide a space for discussing and experimenting with diverse forms of art-based, embodied methods.

You can register for the workshop and submit your ideas for hands-on, experimental workshops or short work-in-progress discussions <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSffVtXuveqZgsNOaOQWO-RcqIoA09_qXL0tlfkShgF5ZlRhyw/viewform?fbzx=6681676583321379629> here. Of course, you can also register as a participant only, without presenting or leading a workshop!

Registration and the call for proposals are open until 1 June. The programme will be finalised afterwards. There is limited funding available to support travel costs, so please let us know if you require financial assistance to attend the workshop. As accommodation in Switzerland is rather expensive, we have organised a few different accommodation options that you can indicate in the form.

Feel free to contact me at <mailto:carolin.schurr at unibe.ch> carolin.schurr at unibe.ch if you have any questions about your submission and/or organisational issues.

Please help us to circulate the call for proposals to interested colleagues and students!

We look forward to two exciting days in Bern!
Best wishes,
Nina, Kayle, Amanda, Micaela, Laura, Mirko and Carolin (on behalf of the organising team)
