[News] Call for proposals for workshop "Intimate, embodied, emotional: Art-based methods in feminist research"

Dear colleagues,

we are happy to invite you to our workshop "Intimate, embodied, emotional – Art based methods in feminist reserach" which we will run on the 23-24 September 2026 in the framework of our exhibition "Atlas of Reproduction<https://kornhausforum.ch/de/ausstellung/atlas-der-reproduktion-babys-grenzen-geopolitik/>" at the Kornhausforum in Bern. The workshop invites students, PhDs, postdocs, researchers of all stages interested in integrating art-based (or creative, multi-modal, audio-visual) methods in their reserach whether already with past experience of doing so or interests to do so in the future. Against the backdrop of the exhibition which results from ethnographic research projects that have worked in different way with artists, media professionals (film makers, photographers) and art-based and audio-visual methods, we hope to provide a space for discussing but also experimenting with diverse forms of art-based embodied methods.

But of course you can also register only as participants without presenting or leading a workshop!

Registration and the call for proposals is open until 1 June. The program will be defined afterwards. There is a limited budget for support for travel costs so please let us know if you need financial support to make it to the workshop. As accomodation in Switzerland is rather expansive we have organised a couple of different options for accomodation that you can also indicate in the form.
