<div class="pre" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">wir verlängern den Call für die nächste Ausgabe der FemGeo Rundmail: Bei Interesse könnt ihr uns eure Beiträge gerne noch bis zum <strong>20.07.2026</strong> an <strong><a href="mailto:femgeo@email.uni-kiel.de">femgeo@email.uni-kiel.de</a></strong> schicken. Wir ermutigen insbesondere auch Personen mit aktivistischem Hintergrund und Studierende, die z.B. Abschlussarbeiten zu dem Thema schreiben/geschrieben haben. </span></div>

<div class="pre" style="text-align: justify;"><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Die nächste Ausgabe der FemGeo Rundmail soll sich mit feministischen Perspektiven auf Austerität und Krise beschäftigen. Das umfasst für uns Kürzungen öffentlicher Ausgaben als Reaktion auf sozio-ökonomische Krisen. Im Sinne neoliberaler Sparpolitiken erfolgen dabei eine ökonomische Priorisierung bei der Verteilung von Geldern und eine (Re)privatisierung von Zuständigkeiten. Diese basieren auf der systematischen Abwertung und Ausbeutung vermeintlich unproduktiver Sorgearbeiten. So sind insbesondere die Bereiche der öffentlichen Fürsorge und der Versorgungsinfrastruktur wie das Gesundheitswesen, der soziale Wohnungsbau, Bildung, Sozialhilfe oder Kinderbetreuung von Sparmaßnahmen betroffen - Sektoren, die hinsichtlich der Nutzer*innen sowie Beschäftigten stark geschlechtsspezifisch strukturiert sind. Damit äußern sich Austeritätspolitiken insbesondere in der Veränderung sozialräumlicher Strukturen und der Verstärkung bereits bestehender geschlechtsbezogener sozio-ökonomischer Ungleichheiten.</span></div>

<div class="pre" style="text-align: justify;"><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Wir sind daher besonders an Beiträgen interessiert, die den konkreten Einfluss dieser Ungleichheiten auf das alltägliche Leben und dessen sozialer Reproduktion untersuchen. Dabei kann auf den Zusammenhang zwischen alltäglichen Praxen und ökonomischer Reproduktion sowie Verflechtungen von race- und klassenspezifischen Dynamiken in der ökonomischen Exklusion sowie der sozial-räumlichen Verortung von Körpern eingegangen werden. Darüber hinaus, können (kollektive) Formen des Widerstandes und Perspektiven der Solidarität behandelt werden, auch in Bezug darauf, inwiefern dadurch vorherrschende neoliberale Diskurse, Politiken und Praxen herausgefordert werden. Wir freuen uns auch über Beiträge, die eine Verbindung zwischen Austerität als Krisenlösungsstrategie und antifeministisch-neokonservativen Diskursen ziehen oder alternative Konzepte wie das der feministischen Sorgeethik einbinden. Natürlich können auch hier nicht konkret benannte Themen und Schwerpunkte gewählt und eigene Zusammenhänge hergestellt werden!  </span></div>

<div class="pre" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Verschiedenste Formen von Beiträgen sind willkommen: Einblicke in laufende Forschungsarbeiten, konzeptionelle Überlegungen, Critical Mappings, Gedichte, Interviews, Zines, Kochrezepte oder selbstgedrehte Videos, etc. Wir möchten aber auch Raum schaffen für Alltagswahrnehmungen und aktivistische Beiträge sowie intersektionale- queerfeministische Perspektiven und Zugänge abbilden. Gerade vor unserem eigenen Hintergrund als Hochschulgruppe wollen wir insbesondere diejenigen ermutigen, die sonst selten zu Wort kommen: Erzählt uns, was ihr denkt! Entwerft Utopien, seid kreativ und lasst eure (feministische) Wut in die Beiträge fließen.</span></div>

<div class="pre" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Find below the original call for submissions: </span><br /><br /><strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Call for the next Issue (Nr. 104): "Feminist Perspectives on Austerity and Crisis“</span></strong><br /><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">In the next issue of FemGeo Rundmail, we would like to take a look at feminist perspectives on austerity and crisis. For us, this includes cuts in public spending in response to socio-economic crises. In line with neoliberal austerity policies, this involves economic prioritization in the distribution of funds and the (re)privatization of responsibilities. These are based on the systematic devaluation and exploitation of supposedly unproductive care work. The areas of healthcare, social housing, education, social welfare, and childcare are particularly affected – all sectors that are highly gender-specific in terms of both users and employees. Austerity policies thus particularly manifest themselves in changes to socio-spatial structures and the reinforcement of existing gender-related socio-economic inequalities.</span></div>

<div class="pre" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">We are therefore particularly interested in contributions that examine the concrete impact of these inequalities on everyday life and its social reproduction. These may address the connection between everyday practices and economic reproduction, as well as the intertwining of race- and class-specific dynamics in economic exclusion and the socio-spatial localization of bodies. In addition, (collective) forms of resistance can be addressed – also with regard to the extent to which they challenge prevailing neoliberal discourses, policies, and practices. We also welcome contributions that draw connections between austerity as a crisis resolution strategy and anti-feminist neoconservative discourses, or that incorporate alternative concepts such as feminist care ethics. Of course, you are also free to choose topics and focal points that are not specifically mentioned here and establish your own connections!</span></div>

<div class="pre" style="text-align: justify;"><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">A wide variety of contributions are welcome: insights into ongoing research, conceptual considerations, critical mappings, poems, interviews, zines, recipes, or self-made videos, etc. However, we also want to create space for everyday perceptions and activist contributions, as well as intersectional queer-feminist perspectives and approaches. In doing so, we want to encourage those who rarely have a voice: Tell us what you think! Create utopias, be creative, and let your (feminist) anger flow into your contributions.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">We are looking forward for your submissions, </span></div>
