<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="">Die von Dr. Jan Winkler geleitete und von Prof. Dr. Boris Michel (Geographie) sowie Prof. Dr. Asta Vonderau (Ethnologie) mentorierte Forschungsgruppe wird sich mit grundlegenden Fragen sozial-ökologischer
Transformation und dafür relevanten gesellschaftstheoretischen Perspektiven beschäftigen. Die Forschungsgruppe ist damit in einen interdisziplinären Kontext eingebettet, aber gleichzeitig auch an die Geographie in Halle geknüpft. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="">Mit dem JTC wird an der MLU Halle ein
<i>interdisziplinäres Forschungszentrum</i> etabliert, das Fragen nach einer gerechten Gestaltung techno-sozio-ökonomischer Wandlungsprozesse in Transformationsregionen in Mitteldeutschland adressieren und dabei ‚Übermorgen-Fragen‘ mit aktuellen Herausforderungen
verknüpfen wird. Das in diesem Rahmen aufzubauende Innovationsteam „Strukturwandel und Partizipation“ untersucht die umkämpften Versuche, neue Wege in eine postfossile Gesellschaft zu finden.
</span><span style="color:black">Solche Transformationen sind nie rein technologisch oder allgemeingültig umsetzbar, sondern mit sozio-kulturellen, politischen und ökonomischen Prozessen verflochten sowie in vielfältige räumliche Kontexte eingebettet. Lokale
Konflikt- und Vergemeinschaftungsdynamiken sowie fortlaufende Aushandlungen zwischen diversen gesellschaftlichen Akteuren formen sozio-technologische Transformationen mit und können sie dynamisieren oder ausbremsen. Die politischen Imaginationen bspw. einer
klimaneutralen Gesellschaft werden dabei in unterschiedlichen lokalen Öffentlichkeiten und Gemeinschaften auch sehr
<span style="">verschiedentlich </span>aufgenommen. Ziel der Arbeitsgruppe ist es, die Herausbildung einer postfossilen Gesellschaft in Mitteldeutschland zu analysieren, Reibungspunkte zwischen technologischem und gesellschaftlichem Wandel aufzudecken und Übersetzungs-
sowie Kollaborationsprozesse zwischen Akteuren zu ermöglichen. Für das Verständnis von Potentialen und Grenzen sozial-ökologischer Transformation ist auch danach zu fragen, welche Partizipationsmöglichkeiten es bei der Gestaltung des Strukturwandels gibt,
wie Konflikte verhandelt und Herausforderungen für demokratische Strukturen adressiert werden können. Dabei soll auch nach der Rolle von Praktiken der Stadt- und Regionalplanung für die Gestaltung von Transformation gefragt werden. Letztlich untersucht die
Forschungsgruppe sozial-ökologische Transformation als situierte, komplexe und widersprüchliche Praxis, in der sich heterogene Diskurse und Erfahrungen verdichten. Mit dieser Perspektive wird dann u.a. gefragt, welche alltäglichen, kreativen, emotional-affektiven
oder auch mehr-als-menschlichen Beziehungen und Praktiken in lokalräumlichen Kontexten auf welche Weisen Potentiale für (ökologische, solidarische, fürsorgliche, gerechte) Transformationen generieren.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="">Die Stellen richten sich an Bewerber*innen aus den sozial-, kultur- und gesellschaftswissenschaftlichen Disziplinen, in etwa aus der Geographie, der Soziologie, Ethnologie, den Kultur- und Medienwissenschaften,
den Politikwissenschaften, aber auch bspw. aus den planungs- und raumbezogenen Studiengängen, der Stadt- und Regionalentwicklung oder der Architektur.
<b style="">Wünschenswert ist das Interesse an einer Promotion.</b><span style=""><i><b> </b></i></span>Die zwei Stellen sind im Wesentlichen ähnlich konzipiert, die Stelle „Reg.-Nr. 5-2921/24-D“ adressiert jedoch expliziter auch die planungs- und raumbezogenen

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span lang="EN-GB" style="color:black">T</span><span style="font-size:12pt">he research group, led by Dr. Jan Winkler and supervised by Prof. Dr. Boris Michel (Geography) and Prof. Dr. Asta Vonderau (Ethnology),
will deal with fundamental questions of socio-ecological transformation and relevant socio-theoretical perspectives.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span lang="EN-GB" style="color:black">With the JTC, an interdisciplinary research center will be established at MLU Halle, which will address questions concerning a just shaping of techno-socio-economic transformation
processes in transition regions in Central Germany, linking future questions with current challenges. The " Strukturwandel und Partizipation" innovation team to be set up within this framework will examine the contested attempts to find new paths to a post-fossil
society. Such transformations can never be implemented in a purely technological or universal way, but are intertwined with socio-cultural, political and economic processes and embedded in diverse spatial contexts. Local dynamics of conflict and socialization
as well as ongoing negotiations between diverse actors shape socio-technological transformations and can dynamize or slow them down. The political imaginations of a climate-neutral society, for example, are also taken up very differently in different local
public spheres and communities. The aim of the working group is to analyze the emergence of a post-fossil society in Central Germany, to uncover points of friction between technological and social change and to enable translation and collaboration processes
between actors. In order to understand the potentials and limits of socio-ecological transformation, it is also necessary to ask what opportunities for participation there are in shaping structural transformation, how conflicts can be negotiated and how challenges
for democratic structures can be addressed. The role of urban and regional planning practices in shaping transformation will also be examined. Ultimately, the research group explores socio-ecological transformation as a situated, complex and contradictory
practice in which heterogeneous discourses and experiences are condensed. With this perspective, amongst other things, the question is then asked: which everyday, creative, emotional-affective or more-than-human relationships and practices in local contexts
generate what kind of potentials for (ecological, solidary, caring, just) transformations?</span></p>

</span>science disciplines, such as geography, sociology, ethnology, cultural and media studies, political science, but also from planning and spatial studies, urban and regional development or architecture.
<b>An interest in a PhD is welcome.</b> The two positions are largely similar in concept, but the position "Reg.-Nr. 5-2921/24-D" more explicitly addresses planning and spatial expertise (e.g. urban and regional development, urban design and architecture).<span style=""> </span></span></p>
