<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify; border:none; padding:0cm"><span lang="DE" class="">In den letzten 20 Jahren hat das Interesse an den Zusammenhängen zwischen Arbeit, Raum, Ort und Scale zugenommen, und zwar nicht nur unter Geograph:innen, sondern
auch unter Soziolog:innen und Wissenschaftler:innen der kritischen Arbeitsforschung und der industriellen Beziehungen. In der englischsprachigen Welt hat sich die
<i class="">Labour Geography</i> bereits als eigenständige Forschungsdisziplin etabliert. Mehrere Bände und Special Issues zeigen die reiche Vielfalt an theoretischen Ansätzen und empirischen Forschungsthemen in der Disziplin (siehe z.B. Bergene et al. 2011;
Coe et al. 2013; Newsome et al. 2015). </span><span lang="DE" class=""></span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify; border:none; padding:0cm"><span lang="DE" class="">In Deutschland wurden mit der Gründung des Netzwerks "Geographie der Arbeit" im Jahr 2002 und einem damit verbundenen Sonderheft der "Zeitschrift für Wirtschaftsgeographie"
(Berndt/Fuchs 2002) erste Versuche unternommen, die Forschung an den Schnittstellen von Arbeit, Raum, Ort und Scale zusammenzuführen. Zwanzig Jahre später wollen wir die Debatten darüber in der deutschen Geographie und verwandten Disziplinen mit einem Sammelband
wiederbeleben. Beiträge sollen aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse von Arbeitsgeograph:innen (und Wissenschaftler:innen anderer Disziplinen, die mit Theorien und Konzepten der Arbeitsgeographie arbeiten) aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum präsentieren. Der Band wird
sowohl deutsch- als auch einige englischsprachige Beiträge enthalten, jedoch ohne Übersetzung von der einen in die andere Sprache.

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify; border:none; padding:0cm"><span lang="DE" class="">Der geplante, begutachtete Band richtet sich an ein überwiegend (aber nicht ausschließlich) deutschsprachiges Publikum aus etablierten Wissenschaftler:innen
sowie Doktorand:innen, Master- und Bachelorstudent:innen, die sich einen Überblick über die aktuelle Forschung und die Debatten rund um Geographien der Arbeit verschaffen wollen. Das Buch wird eine theoretische Einführung sowie Forschungsartikel enthalten,
die theoretische Konzepte mit empirischen Analysen verbinden. </span><span lang="DE" class=""></span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify; border:none; padding:0cm"><span lang="DE" class="">Der Sammelband erscheint bei Springer Nature als Buch und als E-Book. Das E-Book wird über die SpringerLink-Plattform für alle Universitäten und Forschungseinrichtungen
mit einem SpringerLink-Abonnement kostenlos zur Verfügung stehen und somit einem breiten Publikum zugänglich sein. Jeder Beitrag wird eine eigene DOI erhalten, so dass er einzeln erworben und über Suchmaschinen und Kataloge gefunden werden kann.</span><span lang="DE" class=""></span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify; border:none; padding:0cm"><span lang="DE" class="">Das Buch wird Beiträge zu aktuellen Forschungsthemen und Debatten in der Labour Geography enthalten, die nach Themenbereichen gegliedert sind. Jeder Themenblock
umfasst eine kurze Einführung, in der die wichtigsten theoretischen Konzepte und aktuellen Diskussionen skizziert werden, sowie Forschungsartikel, die Theorie und Empirie miteinander verbinden. Der Band wird bei Springer Nature Deutschland erscheinen und soll
daher hauptsächlich Beiträge in deutscher Sprache enthalten. Darüber hinaus können ein paar Artikel in englischer Sprache mitaufgenommen werden, um auch Beiträge von Kolleg:innen, die nur auf Englisch veröffentlichen, zu berücksichtigen. Alle Beiträge durchlaufen
ein Peer-Review-Verfahren. </span><span lang="DE" class=""></span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span lang="EN-US" class="">Over the past 20 years, there has been an increasing interest in the connections between labour, space, place and scale, not only among geographers but also among sociologists and
scholars from critical labour studies and industrial relations. In the anglophone world,
<i class="">Labour Geography</i> has already established itself as a research discipline in its own right with multiple books and special issues showing the rich variety of theoretical approaches and empirical research topics in the discipline (see e.g. Bergene
et al. 2011; Coe et al. 2013; Newsome et al. 2015). </span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span lang="EN-US" class="">In Germany, first attempts to bring together research at the intersections of labour, place, space and scale were made with the foundation of the network “Geographie der Arbeit” in
2002 and a linked special issue in ‘Zeitschrift für Wirtschaftsgeographie’ (Berndt/Fuchs 2002). Twenty years later, we aim to revive and reinvigorate such debates in German geography and related disciplines with an edited volume presenting current research
from labour geographers (and scholars from other disciplines working with theories and concepts from labour geography) in the German language, and scholars working on topics in labour geography in German-speaking countries. The volume will contain entries
in German and some in English, but without translation from one to the other. </span>
</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span class="x_MsoIntenseReference"><span lang="DE" class="">Target audience and access:</span></span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span lang="EN-US" class="">The envisioned peer-reviewed volume will address a predominantly (but not exclusively) German-speaking audience of senior researchers as well as PhD and Bachelor and Master students
interested in getting an overview of current research and debates in Labour Geography. The book will feature a theoretical introduction and research articles combining theoretical concepts with empirical analyses.

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span lang="EN-US" class="">The book will be published with Springer Nature as physical book and as e-book. The e-book will be available via the SpringerLink platform freely for all universities and research
