[News] Online Conference "Feminist Geographies around the World", Oct 23rd

Dear members of the Gender and Geography Commission,

The Young and Early Career Scholars (YES!) network, an initiative of the IGU Commission on Gender and Geography, is delighted to invite you to its first conference, "Feminist Geographies around the World". The conference takes place online on Friday 23 October 2026.

Across two sessions, eight early career researchers will present new work on care, belonging, embodiment and spatial justice. Their fieldwork stretches from Aotearoa New Zealand to Latin America. The conference is a space to share research in progress, meet colleagues across regions and languages, and strengthen feminist geographical conversations beyond the Global North.
