am kommenden Donnerstag, 03.02. um 15.30h trägt Lizzie Richardson im Rahmen des Geographischen Kolloquiums in Halle zu feministischen und queeren digitalen Geographien vor. Der Vortrag findet online statt und wir freuen uns, wenn sich Interessierte dazu schalten möchten. Eine Anmeldung ist nicht erforderlich.

"Feminist and queer digital geographies? Digital technologies and the spatial politics of gender and sexuality"
Prof. Dr. Lizzie Richardson, Frankfurt
In what ways do digital technologies contribute to and change politics of gender and sexuality? This lecture will address this question by examining the sorts of spaces and spatial relations that are created through and with digital technologies. It will examine how, on the one hand, more flexible spaces enabled by digital technologies have contributed to less rigid conceptions of gender and more fluid understandings of sexuality and relationships. Yet on the other hand, digital technologies also standardise and format spatial arrangements along gendered lines that result in reworked norms of (in)visibility and intimacy.
